About Unity Control
Unity Control Systems Ltd is a small family consultancy and service company. It is a 'lean co-operative' model: trusted Partner companies and Contract engineering technicians with a range of skills and accreditations in specialist areas are brought in to augment the workforce on larger projects. The effective headcount on any project is from 2 to 10 technicians and engineers.
The indigenous workforce is:
- director Mike Kilty, a chartered Electrical Engineer and control systems specialist;
- technician Ed Kilty, a Plumber and Gas Engineer;
- Anne Kilty holds the fort at the office.
Formerly Unibat (UK) Ltd. started up in affiliation with Unibat a.s. of Denmark in 1996, to service a contract for Battery Monitoring equipment for Tele Greenland. We sold its business interests and Intellectual Property to Masterpower Chloride in 1999 and restarted the electrical consultancy in 2000, later changing the name to Unity Control Systems, adding Plumbing and Gas in 2008.
